yoo comes to Singapore

iLiv@Grange development launches with yoo inspired by Starck interiors

The centre of Singapore is set to have an unusual new silhouette: international design and branding company yoo and local developer Heeton Holdings announce today the sales launch of a 16-storey residential building on Grange Road near Orchard Road, in the heart of the city. The iLiv@Grange development, with architecture inspired by the natural shape of the Calla lily - a symbol of elegance and purity, will comprise 30 apartments with interiors by yoo inspired by Starck, and indoor garden lounge spaces full of tropical plants, creating a sense of tranquillity in the centre of Singapore.

Scheduled for completion in 2013, iLiv@Grange is yoo’s first project in Singapore. The architecture is by design firm Mercurio Design Lab; the facilities and communal areas have the yoo hallmarks of fresh, playful colour schemes and furnishings– the residents’ garden will have throne armchairs and a private entertainment pavilion, perfect for dining, and the development will also feature both ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ lounges. The 20,325 sq ft building comprises one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments spread three to a floor; the double-height penthouses on the top two storeys will have private roof terraces and outdoor pools, ideal for night-swimming, overlooking the cityscape. Buyers can choose their interiors from two yoo inspired by Starck design palettes: Classic – a refined, sleek, style with strong colourways and dark wood finishes; and Nature – softly-textured spaces with white oak floors and light fabrics.
John Hitchcox, Chairman and co-founder of yoo, says, “Singapore is one of the world’s most cosmopolitan and design-aware cities and we’re delighted to add iLiv@Grange – our first everSingapore development – to the yoo portfolio.  We’re always looking to bring inspiring living spaces to new places and working with Heeton has provided us with the opportunity to do just that.”
